My B string doesn't sound right?

So I just got my guitar from my uncle and tuned it up. It's correctly tuned, I checked everywhere. However, when I press the string on the 3rd fret and strum, the sound comes out all wrong. I'm trying to learn Good Riddance by Green Day, and it involves plucking that string, but when I compare the two notes, they sound nothing alike. What seems to be the problem?

Why do I resent my friend so much?

Why is my motorcycle making that noise?

I have a 1981 yamaha 1100 xs. This morning i was riding it to work and and it was fine. Halfway through my ride, i was on the freeway and my bike starts losing power. I manage to make it to work which is just off the freeway and when i stop, my bike is idling just under 1k rpms and it dies. After work the same exact thing happens except that i made it home. when it started to lose power it sounded almost like a lawnmower engine. I had to really get on the throttle to keep it going. It kinda felt like it was shaking a little bit. which i'm sure isn't normal. i put it in the 2nd choke setting and it seemed okay to get me home. I'm not a motorcycle mechanic obviously so if anyone has had this problem and has the solution would be a great help. thanks in advance

Neighbor taking out our shrubs, need an affordable safety fence!?

In the last year our unfriendly (but hadn't been hostile) neighbor has seemed to be going through something which seems to be getting worse and worse. He has never talked to me in 5 years, but one sudden manic moment told me all about how the cops had taken his friend away and now had a restraining order, and how he'd been sick for a year and lost a ton of weight. I never knew anything about him, though tried to say hi and had for years left holiday cards, but all in 1 conversation learned more than I would normally have learned in months. He never talked to me again since (that was 6 months ago) and since then he has had new friends move in/out, had men stopping in front of our house at 3:30am beeping (I could see the man's GPS, so I figure he didn't know the neighbor much since he didn't know where he lived), and recently had his new live-in friend taken out by stretcher unconscious at about 4pm (I'm only guessing drugs, but don't know, but he had told me in that one conversation that his last friend had been drunk and doing drugs the night he was arrested). All of this story is to lead up to why I am more worried that he is getting worse, more unbalanced. His house is very close to our's, and a few days ago he walked onto our lawn while I was home with my baby and pulled out a bunch of our shrubs along our house that my husband had been growing for years. Our neighbor is a cop, and he told us his wife saw him do it, and it makes me think this neighbor is getting more and more unbalanced, and I'm scared, and a new mom, and so nervous to be in our little backyard with my baby. We have a little fence between our yards halfway, but it's only about 3 ft high. We don't have much money but I'm desperate to put in a higher fence! I've been researching putting in our own fence, but we can't afford the put together fences I found online (I called the town hall, and we can have 6ft tall, and can be on the property line, but the man suggested leaving a foot). I have been trying to think of ways to build a fence, or find used lumber, or maybe buying some inexpensive mesh? I saw rolls of mesh on one site and posts, and also saw faux ivy screens that might make more privacy, but my biggest concern is safety, and keeping him/anything out from his side of the yard. It may sound like I'm being a nervous mom, but I have heard the screaming from outdoors at 3:30 am, and heard banging on our backdoor one night, and think he or is ex-boyfriend may have hurdled our little fence, so I really have been scared to go out. On a tight budget, is there any way that someone can build some kind of fence? We do have a fence in the backyard (the 3 ft one) so there are some posts there, but not on the area abutting his driveway, where he tore out our shrubs, and where we're always finding trash and cigarette butts. How can I repair/reinstall windows xp when my comp won't recognize my cd drive?

Yesterday I was trying to burn a DVD and got a few error messages from the program I was using. I tried using a different program and once I had the DVD setup and went to burn it my cd/DVD drive was not there. Looked in "my computer" and it didn't show up there either. Tried ejecting the blank DVD but it wouldn't open. I tried doing a system restore to a week before this problem occurred but it froze halfway through. After about 2 hours I shut the computer down. Now when I restart the computer it makes it to the windows loading screen then goes to a bsod stop error message. I'm trying to repair/reinstall windows(xp) by going to the boot menu when I first turn on computer and having it boot from cd drive before hard drive but it's saying boot device not available. Any help or information on this would be greatly appreciated.

How can I fix the zoom on my Samsung SMX-C10?

A while ago I bought Samsung's Smx-c10 camcorder when it was relatively new. But a week or so after buying it it got knocked over while on the tripod and now when I try to zoom the screen goes very blurry. I have to zoom it in about halfway for it to be clear and am unable to change the zoom without it going blurry after that. I've tried messing with settings directly on the camcorder, and have also reset the camcorder to factory settings. Would I be able to bring it somewhere to get it fixed, as my warranty is up. What I would suggest is to read the instructions again on installing the blade. A circular saw will cut through a 2/4 with no problems. Without being able to see what you are doing the main reason for kickback is binding. That can be caused by not supporting the piece being cut and as you cut through the pieces pinch togher binding the blade. Kerf is the cut that the blade makes. The teeth are wider at the top than the blade is thick to create a wide enough slot for the blade to go through. right so basically there's a girl I met back in September. A few nights ago I had a REALLY crazy dream. So in my dream, I looked out of my room and into the hallway and saw a woman walk into my room very slowly. Period/Spotting halfway through birth control pack?

I just started my third week of birth control pills, and it's my second month taking it consecutively. I took it for a month and a half, and had the dates messed up so I waited until it started again to take it the right way. Now that I've been taking it on the right dates for a month and a half now, I've been spotting for about the past 5 days, and sometimes it's really light, or it could be randomly heavy. Or sometimes it'll just stop completely for part of the day and come back later. Is this common? & will I still get my period during the inactive brown pills ? Well theres more things to life. On weekends go shopping with friends, go movies, party hard. Go bungy jumping, sky divinv, learn to surf. Some simple things like, dye your hair, get a piercing, be a dare devil. Learn how to sing video clip your self and post of youtube and if your lucky you maybe famous or get to meet up with a celebarty. Do a collection or something, Im collecting spongebob. Help out with charties, volunteer to help stray animals, get a job save money to use in the future. Do something creative or unsual or new to be remembered by.

Im getting distraught here :( why has he gone cold all of a sudden?

im 17 and my ex is 22. :) we said we would get back together when im 18 which is in a month, we've been saying this for some time. 3 weeks ago i saw him and it was a lush night! he was so happy and i was, and even on facebook he posted ''what an amazing night its always been you <3'' i couldnt see him till three days ago because of my A levels, but throughout those weeks he texted me and was really supportive. the last time i saw him was three days ago. the night started of brilliantly, but then halfway through he fell ''asleep'' like everytime i tried to wake him up he grunted. To be fair he had said he was really tired, and i guess i might've annoyed him trying to wake him up so much, i did it in a friendly/ jokey way though. he didnt cuddle me though :/ again he might've just been too tired. How short is too short for a skirt on a first date?

I have a first date coming up and I have a really pretty outfit picked out except that I'm wondering whether the skirt is too short or I'm just paranoid. It's a black skirt with ruffles that comes about halfway between my knees and my crotch. Everything else is fine, the top doesn't show cleavage and it's not too tight or anything like that. If I don't wear heels with the skirt, it doesn't look short but when I put heels on (which I plan to wear) it suddenly makes it look short. I'm only worried because I know that this man is looking for a classy woman and if I'm not dressed tastefully it might turn him off. HELP??!! my hair keeps falling out, how do i get it to grow out and thicken again?

kay, i have a really bad problem heree. my hair keeps thining out. like the front sides are slowly thinning outt and i can feel for myself that my hair is not as thick as it as used to be. i cut all my hair off about 2 summers ago, and i NEVER want to have to do that again. i had less than 2 inches of hair going into freshman year(Im 16 by the way) and it was AWFUL and then had to put in extensions. halfway thru sophmore year it started getting longer again so i took out the extensions an put in a perm and had it maintained every 2 weeks by my hair stylist so it was all good, and grew out, then around mayish i noticed it started thinning out again so i stopped all perming and using hot objects in my hair and decided to go natural and it thickened out again and curled and was all good again. but i washed it every day with conditioner and washed it with shampoo every 3 days(im african american, so this prolly wasnt a good idea now that i think about it) and now again its thinning out again and my hair feels like it has no life to it! and im really scared bc i really dont want to have to cut it all off again. its about to my shoulders but my front sides are thinning out and i dont know what to do! i have alot of thing going on this summer so i really need my hair to be back to the way it was. so my question is how do i get my hair to start growing thicker again and how to get it to have more life again. please helppp! i need my hair backk!

Navel question PIERCErS PLEASE HELP?

So I got my belly button pierced Wednesday (22nd) at this like jewelry store place idk but everything seemed to be sterile, although the belly ring the woman used was alot less curvier than a normal belly ring it was like kinda more near a straight barbell than curved, and the balls were the same size, she also pierce it through the top which I found kinda weird but hey im not a piercer so what do I know? ANYWAYS, the warring irritated me alot, to like tears and I think it was heavy or something becauSe the hole got large and I could see like the white and red meat inside my stomach! The top ball was pretty much halfway in the top hole so as bad as this was, today I changed the earring to a normal belly ring I bought from the jewelry place & it was in a sterlized bag but I cleaned it and everything anyways then put it in which kinda stung, it felt much better but the top ball is still kind of in the piercing and the two holes are all red and when I clean with salt water it burns, is my piercing infected or is my body rejecting it? I want to reinvent myself this summer?

So as a little kid, I was pretty normal. I've worn glasses since I was 2 and I'm almost 15 now. In 4th grade, I got an awful haircut and I let my mom pick my clothes out because I was a tomboy and didn't care. I got a little weird then, but I was confident so I got along well with others. In the summer before 6th grade, I somehow convinced myself that middle schoolers were giggly spazzes. Everything I wore HAD to be pink because I was a girly girl. About halfway through 7th grade, I finally ditched the giggly spaz thing, but I think I was still kinda annoying. I lost ALL of my confidence in 8th grade because my dad became even more verbally abusive than usual. I was very quiet and didn't talk to anyone outside my circle of friends. In 9th grade... ah. We left my dad in December and I started getting my confidence back. I realized my goals of being normal were unreasonable and that I should embrace my individuality. I'm getting contacts this summer and I really like the scene look and ideas. Help? :)

A little friendly dog like that doesn't need a prong. A prong is overkill. Try with a flat collar first, pop it the way you would with a training collar and bring her back into a heel. You greet other dogs on your time, not hers. Then again, I'm against introducing random strange dogs anyway. It serves no positive purpose and opens the possibility of a dog fight.

Severely enlarged tonsils with no pain?

Me and everybody that knows me have agreed that my tonsils are probably the gnarliest, nastiest looking tonsils they've ever seen. Not pus wise. My left one is pretty in flamed and has signs of yellowish streaks on it. Weird not clumps or balls of food just like yellowish whitish streaks all over the tonsil but its not that noticeable unless i look real closely in the mirror. The left one is not the problem. Although the right is one is so huge that it is literally dipped into my throat probably halfway, well at least thats how it feels. It is one huge puffy not hard but firm tonsil but when it ends on the bottom is another pink colored firm fleshy tonsil looking growth. They are both the exact same size almost and same color texture almost as if it is made of the same tissue/tonsil. But it is one then it gets a little smaller and another tonsil-looking lump hanging from it in to my throat. It doesnt hurt at all ever, not even to swallow. But it does feel like I have something lodged in my throat and it feels irritating to swallow saliva because nothing makes the feeling go away. Eventually it goes away on its own for a little while and comes back. Then sometimes I have trouble breathing through my mouth so it seems. It hurts if I press on it from the outside under my chin on the side under my jaw like on the neck you can feel the right one since it is so inflamed. I cant really see no pus on the right one but the other day I gargled salt water with a few drops of lime juice and I coughed up to little mushy yellow balls. They looked like tonsil stones but when I saw them I immediately squooshed them with my fingers to feel the texture. They easily pulverized into a mashed potato like substance that smelled awful. These were probably tonsil stones, I dont know. But the problem remains the super huge right tonsil. That looks like a pair of testicles almost. Im 17 I used to smoke cigarettes for almost a year, stupid of me ******* myself up so young, came to my senses and stopped. Hopefully the damage hasnt been officially done and its far away from cancer of the throat. But still I want these gone. Ive been prescribed ampicillin, penicillin (oral & injection), amoxicillin, salt & lemon gargles nothing works. I even went to an ancient mexican healer that healed swollen tonsils by "breaking" some nerves in the neck and arm. (last resort) My father was healed that way and never had problems with his tonsils ever again. But it did not work on me. Some doctors recommend a tonsillectomy but honestly i dont want to get rid of my tonsils, not so much because I need them but Im the kind of person that doesnt like something being ripped out of his body unless its a life and death situation. Im thinking of homeopathy. I dont know, what other options do I have?

Do religions tend to simplify life, making this life "boring"?

Known many Christians and other religious folks from my time, ask them what they think about life and maybe 1 out of 5, some idiot will respond saying this life is boring, our five senses are just so "normal" and unexciting. When you learn about the uniqueness of life and how life is a spark of chance, out of the possibility from google to infinite, as I grow older every little thing from turning the light on from a switch to how miles and miles of nerves cooperate together in your brain just by reading this, our world really amazes me. really any Green Day song. They are all in the range of G, C, F, and D. Some Em thrown in there... And I've found Arcade Fire songs to be simple enough to play acoustically, but I'm a big Arcade Fire fan, some people aren't, whatever floats your boat. Ray Lamontagne plays some very simple songs with simple chords, such as Trouble, great tune. And if you want to work on your fingerpicking Sam Beam (aka Iron and Wine) plays a lot of finger picking songs where if you just work at them for a bit they get really simple. I suggest 'Naked as We Came' and 'Such Great Heights'.

I'm afraid of what's to come while going through my divorce. Any advice? (Kinda long, sorry)?

Well, I'm soon 25 & he is soon 22 and due to some trust and control issues, it has been decided that we are going to go through with divorce, but (we both agree) we are waiting a couple months to go through with filing and such,even though the timing leaves me in charge of dealing with a lot of the stuff. B/c he's military and will be gone for a bit. I have been ok'd by him to deal with everything though, like, moving things into storage and stuff, b/c my husband won't be here to take care of it until a month later after we don't sign the lease which is up in September, so I have to get it all out. And by the time he gets back i'll be having to find my own place and such. Anyway, I'm afraid that once we begin the filing things will start getting messy and won't go as smoothly as discussed. I'm only asking for a few items from the home. We will both be able to claim an automobile, so we'll both have means of transportation and we will both have items to live off of with no problems. (Hopefully). I'm also afraid of how i'm going to make it on my own. I just was able to get a part time job, but i'm barely getting 10 hrs a week b/c of training. I'm sure it will pick up, but it scares me to think that this is all I'll have to live off of. (I'll of course have to pick up another job) The only thing is I have to move back to my home state and will have to find jobs there, so I don't even have a part time when this happens. Also, I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to tell my aunt that I really don't want to have to live with her when this all goes down. I've lived with her before marriage, and it went horribly and one reason why my husband and I got married so quickly, so we'd have more money to live off of when she kicked me out that time. Hello to start off with I love my family and wouldn't trade them for the world. I just don't know what else to do I feel like im gonna go crazy. Summer 2009 I came home from school in pittsburgh my gf at the time had been there for me and waiting for me to finish school. I had overcome so much adversity and criticism no one believed I was going to graduate or be successful because before I went to school I chose the wrong road working part-time jobs to cover up my association with a million dollar drug cartel. Almost losing my life is what forced the drastic change and my love for this woman I didn't want to lose. So finished school back home doing an unpaid internship living with my dad wasn't what I expected but I had a plan for us to get married buy a house and live happily ever after. I ended up getting the job where I Interned I used my first 3 checks to purchase the Engagement ring. Now my gf at the moment has two children by two different men but was just the sweetest woman I ever met. I wanted to do right by her and get married first before we moved in together. Me not having any children of my own wanted to be married when I did have a child. So I proposed it was special were in love set a date for two months. Before we got married I sat down and typed up a savings plan on how we would within a year buy the house of our dreams and car. We got married our goal was in sight but not complete so we rented a condo from a friend I worked with. Newly weds all on our own it felt perfect. Until I noticed my wife had an anger problem and was not the cleanest person in the world. The anger problems took a turn for the worse when it turned into disrespect. Laughing when im trying to explain things, turning her back on me, getting up when I was talking and leaving the room. The arguments were about the craziest things, things people don't argue about. Now Im not saying Im perfect there are two sides to every story. If you ask my wife she would tell you the same thing. Three months into our marriage we got pregnant, a blessing, and a curse, she got 5 times worse. I said she's pregnant so I wont make any waves I just wanted to be happy. Now im dealing with verbal abuse this isn't me I donut deal with stuff like this I kept saying to myself. Still didn't want to make any waves this is what I always wanted so married and my son on the way so I just dealt with it everyday for 7 months and buried it inside I even stopped arguing back. We only had one car because of our savings plan so my day to day routine went like this. She isn't a morning person so I would wake up 6:30 wake up the kids 5 and 3 get them washed dressed make breakfast wash and dress myself while they ate. Have her clothes ready and left the house at 7:15-7:30 because she didn't like waking up early I would have to drop her first then drive back across town to drop the kids at daycare and that was just the beginning. Then because we only have 1 car and I worked out of state I had to double back to her job and park the car from there I had to catch a bus to get to the train station and catch the train a 40min ride once I got off the train I had to literally run out of the train station to catch another bus just to get to work 5-10 mins early. So If I ran into traffic dropping off the kids or missed the bus at her job or missed the train or missed the second bus all of which happened I was late for work or had to pay steep taxi fares in order to make it on-time. Still dealing with everything else was taking a toll on me and effecting my work performance. So in order to keep my job I had to buried even deeper. After living in the condo for 5 months we bought our house brand new found the house we wanted they were building a new development we found it halfway threw the 4th home so we were still able to have a lot of input on the layout. We closed in a month it was so exciting to have a home of our own brand new, still dealing with the anger issues. Still my day to day routine. Maternity leave got alittle better because she didn't have to go to work so I drove to work. Camryn our son was born my pride and joy. So we decided to set another goal what if I go back to Radiology school two years and I will be making almost double what Im making now and you wont have to work we both saw it to be a great Idea. Im 26 she's 23 we are still young. So before having to go back to work she told me what if I work and you go to school she didn't want to put the baby in daycare and i could do my classes online. I insisted no its not in our plan she pushed and pushed and argued and fussed until I gave up and said ok. Worse mistake of my life now I have been unemployed for 6 months we struggle to pay our bills and she hates her job. I think it's appropriate and I really like it, well done :) It's very emotive and imaginative, and it's well written. However, just a personal opinion. I don't think the opening line "I remember it quite vividly" really captures the readers attention. It doesn't give me the impression that she can actually remember what happened. Could you possibly use a different word instead of "quite", or maybe skip the word "quite" altogether, such as "I remember it vividly; rising levels of water crushing my fragile body..." It's only a minor suggestion though.

Plug won't go through ear?

I just stretched my ear to 14 g (first stretch) and put the plug in my left ear with no problems, but my right took much longer and gave me a harder time. I finally got the plug in my right ear, but it won't poke through the other side. I've been pushing it in but it won't budge and I even used water as a lubricant. My wife is 11 years old than I am (I'm 32, and she's 43), and we've been married for 1.5 years while knowing each other for about 6. She confident, aggressive, extremely popular, married once before (husband got into drugs), socially skilled, and has been through many relationships. Ok so I have been thinking about asking this girl out but she was dateing some 1 else. I started talking to her more and as I did I liked her more and more. My best friend invited me to go on vacation with them to a cabin that they rented last year in Aspen. We had a blast and I was enjoying myself until her extremely gorgeous husband cornered me by myself and started hitting on me( ie, trying to kiss me, grabbing my rear end, making suggestive comments, etc..) Why is it this always happens?
