Does anybody else have trouble singing and playing guitar at the same time?

i have mastered it on a few songs but particularly on Good Riddance(Time of your Life) i have trouble singing it and playing it at the same time. I have all the words memorized and if i play without singing then it sounds good but its hard to do both so what can i do to get better at it besides practice?
