Can I re-do my high school education?

Halfway through my ninth grade year, I tried to kill myself, so I was taken out of school. I missed the rest of the year. This year, I for sick and was home-bound, a teacher from my school would come over with assignments. I have missed SOOOOOOO MUCH! I was wondering if I could just start over, from ninth grade. I'd be 17, but I have an excuse. Last year I tried and they said no, if I went to the superintendent, do you think he would give in?
